ON APRIL 25, AANL HELD A SEMINAR ON

A. Alikhanyan National Science Laboratory hosted Professor, Research Chair and Head of Laboratory Mathis Wiedeking from iThemba LABS (Cape Town, South Africa and University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa).
The professor introduced iThemba LABS, the research programs and the infrastructure showcasing some of the recent research highlights across various disciplines and detailing the breadth and depth of their work.
The seminar explored iThemba Laboratory for Accelerator-Based Sciences, the largest accelerator facility in the southern hemisphere. iThemba LABS stands out with a broad research portfolio which is supported by state-of-the-art facilities with various accelerators, including the K200 Separated Sector Cyclotron, K70 cyclotron, 6MV Tandem and 3MV Tandetron accelerator.
