Fabrication, characterization and modeling of optical properties of plasmonic nanostructures and carbon based nanomaterials with high optical sensitivity. Collaborator: Institute of Experimental Physics, Ulm University, Germany
In the frame of collaboration we focus on the investigation of plasmonic properties of nanostructures fabricated on single crystal and atomic flat gold surfaces. The cooperation is based on the fabrication and characterization of optical properties of the plasmonic nanostructures (German partner) and the development of analytical and semi-analytical models of estimation of the optical resonances (Armenian partner). Under the same project a cooperation with focus on the study of the interaction between noble metal nanostructured surfaces and carbon derived nanomaterials is also planned (Drexel University, PA, USA).
