ՀԱՄԱԳՈՐԾԱԿՑՈՒԹՅՈՒՆՆԵՐ CERN ALICE (2020-2025)

Name of the project (years)

CERN ALICE Collaboration (2020-2025)

Short description

ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) is a

Heavy-ion detector on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) ring. It is designed to study the physics of strongly interacting matter at extreme energy densities (>1011 g/cm3) and hot (>1012 K) medium, where a phase of matter called quark-gluon plasma forms. Our Universe was in QGP state a few microseconds after the Big Bang.

The further work of AANL ALICE group will include, in particular:

  1. 1. Update and maintenance of FAMoS (File Access Monitoring Service) designed and developed by AANL-ALICE team, to monitor the frequency of the accesses to the data files and directories in ALICE Grid Environment (AliEn).

  2.
  3. 2. Update and maintenance of created by AANL-ALICE team CoCoTime (Computing Coordination and Time Management Tool) software tool for the estimation of the resources required to process and store the ALICE data of future LHC Runs 3 and 4.

  4.

3. Incorporation of the Monte Carlo theoretical generator for the analysis of the production of φ(1020) meson at into the AliRoot environment
